The last line of the Gridline talks about a jobless feeling.
I often compare my world and my years with the ones lived by my father at my age at that his youth time.
My father began working at the peak of the 60’s Italian boom.
I began working instead at the beginning of a long series of economic crises.
Feeling ashamed of being unemployed for a period of my life made me sleepless.
There was no love in my nights. I wanted to talk with my father about my feelings and the lyrics came easy.
Maria played violin on this song, giving it a lullaby effect, despite the sleepless feeling.
